SATURDAY, JANUARY 25
A jewellery appraisal is an evaluation of a piece of jewellery that results in a document outlining the quality, condition and value of the item. This official document contains:
- Detailed description of the item
- Materials used
- Stone identification & Grading (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat, Laser Inscription)
- Retail Replacement Value
All of our appraisals are completed by a highly trained Certified Appraiser and Gemologist (GIA) from an independent gemological laboratory that offers professional, fair and accurate evaluations.
The most common reason to have jewellery appraised is insurance purposes (i.e. theft, damage, or settlement for estate purposes.). If you are planning on selling or trading, an appraisal will help you get the best value for your item.
Fees for Appraisal: $60 per item (10 business days)
We host in-store appraisal clinics several times a year. We have an independent Certified Appraiser come in-store, and complete appraisals (by appointment) on-site, while you wait. You will receive verbal information regarding your appraisal on the spot, can ask questions and can take your jewellery piece home at the conclusion of the appraisal. The documentation is prepared and ready for pick-up 10 business days later.
Fees for Appraisal Clinics: $80 per item or $200 for 3 items.
Thank you for your interest! In order to serve you best, we recommend you sign up for one of our popular appraisal clinics, or feel free to drop off your pieces in-store any time for an appraisal (approximately ten business days).
If you have any questions regarding the process, please feel free to give us a call at 905-945-4411 or send us a text message through the Podium Chat.
