My Jewellery Box – Anniversary Bracelet – Week 8

The first bracelet that I want to share with you is a special piece that my husband had made for me to match my wedding ring.  He gave this to me on our 5th Wedding Anniversary.  I use to wear it a lot, however, the gold has started to wear and I am really afraid of losing it, so it just sits in my jewellery box not being worn at all.  It really is a shame, because I truly love it, but would be devastated if I ever lost it.  I would love to make it into something else so that I could once again wear it and appreciate it, but there is a lot of sentimental attachment to this bracelet and I’m not sure how I feel about actually changing the way it looks.  I will have to put this one aside and think about it.  The internal struggle on this one is huge.

  1. Hmmm…that would be a tough decision but it would be so very sad if you lost it. At least re-purposing it you would still have the gold and the sentiment behind it! I’ll be following to see what you choose! Keep up the great work, and great stories, with your blog!

    • Yes, this one will be tough. I am not sure I really want to make it look different. I had another thought that maybe I could take the part that looks like my ring and attach that to a bracelet that is new? Kind of would solve all the problems maybe?
