My “first fur child” pin was talked about last week. This next piece was given to me for our “fourth fur child”. You may recognize this from the charm case at Harmony Jewellers. It is a gold cat charm with attitude.
That is exactly what my cat is all about – attitude. From what I understand, I believe that most cats are this way. Every time I look at this necklace it makes me smile, it is not something that I wear a lot, but it is a memento of my kitty and the charm is in the usual stance (Elliott is his name): looking at me over his shoulder with a scowl and a “well are you coming to feed me” look on his face.
Along with this necklace is the gold locket that my husband gave me when we were dating. Again, it has much meaning to me and I would never change it in any way or transform it into something new. This locket also now cantains the ashes of my “second fur child” Binkie – my dog. Binkie was a rescue and was one of the most wonderful dogs to have in our family. We were lucky enough to have him for over 10 years. It warms my heart everytime I wear this pendant. Sad that he is gone, but happy that we shared our lives with him for as long as we did.
