Founded in 1882 on Havana’s prestigious San Rafael Avenue, Cuervo Y Sobrinos enjoyed success and notoriety through the 1950’s. Havana was a glamorous destination for celebrities, aristocrats and political figures and they all would visit the exclusive Cuervo Y Sobrinos shop. Patrons like Einstein, Caruso, Churchill, Hemingway, Clark Gable, Eleanora Duse, Pablo Neruda were a common occurrence. The brand basically shut down after the revolution but it was revived in 2002.
