Since its inception in 1948, the look and functionality of the iconic Seamaster has evolved greatly. What has remained unchanged are the original quality and core values Omega put into action to produce a robust watch for adventurous individuals that can be worn casually, formally and everything in between. This example offers the traditional look of a divers watch yet maintains an elegant and versatile design. The 43mm stainless steel case has a combination of polished and brushed finishes which contribute to an elegant yet rugged profile on the wrist. Both the hour and minute hands are Broad Arrow in design, making for quick and easy legibility in daylight or low light situations thanks to a generous helping of Super-LumiNova on the hands as well as the number indicators. As a nod to the diving heritage of the Seamaster, you will see that the lume on the minute hand and 60 minute mark on the divers bezel are different from the colour of the lume elsewhere on this watch. The reason for this is to distinguish the importance of keeping track of the one hour lapsed time when scuba diving. And yes, I retreated to a dark closet to view this feature for myself. The 60 minute divers scale bezel is ceramic with a polished blue which plays perfectly off of the blue dial..
Overall this is a watch that sits comfortably on the wrist and will remain a subtle show stopper until you pass it down to the next generation.
This watch was originally purchased in March of 2020 and comes with box, papers and remainder of the Omega factory warranty
