The OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Chronograph has a unique place in the history of space exploration as the only piece of equipment to have been used in all of NASA’s manned space missions from Gemini in the mid-1960s to the current International Space Station program. And, in 1969, when astronaut Buzz Aldrin stepped on the lunar surface – the second human being ever to do so – he was wearing a Speedmaster Professional. From that moment on, the timepiece became known as The Moonwatch, the first watch worn on the Moon. This version stays true to the original Moonwatch with it’s acrylic crystal and is powered by Caliber 1861. If you are looking for a place to start a collection or round out an existing one, this is the watch for you. Box and papers are not included.
