Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5015 in 1994 and was in production until 1999. This is the only Patek from the time to feature an ~22age of the moon~22 dial which indicates the exact time of the full moon. This watch also features an officers style case back, when opened exposes the beautiful calibre 240 with 22k micro-rotor. Another interesting feature is the large hobnail bezel, typically this is a much smaller decoration. This watch is a bit of an oddity for Patek Philippe being that it is the first time the brand equipped any watch with a moon phase indicator that wasn’t also a perpetual calendar. In fact, this one lacks a date entirely! Yet it’s still a special complication, accurate to 122 years and capable of being set forward and back with precision. The 18kt white gold case measures in at a subtle 35mm. Patek have packed a great deal of information into a relatively small case while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look. At the 10 o’clock position is the Power Reserve indicator. Adjacent to this is the small seconds dial. To the left you’ll see the Moon Phase indicator. These factors combine to create a stunning yet subtle watch that will become a family heirloom, treasured by this and future generations. This watch includes original paperwork and box.
