The Heritage Black Bay was first introduced in 2012, the following year it won the Revival Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie in Geneva. Based on the original design which dates back to 1954, this watch embodies the concept of American architect Louis Sullivan, according to whom, the form of an object must follow its function. Keeping with this ideology, the form of this Black Bay most definitely follows it’s function. The simple design tells the observer immediately that this is a divers watch: 60 minute divers scale bezel, over sized number indicators, defined Snowflake hands, screw down crown and case back all combine to create a true tool watch built to endure the harshest of conditions. Aside from it’s practical functionality, this watch also performs a less tangible function. Thanks to the classic design the wearer is transported back 60 years to the early ages of underwater exploration. This respect for history is, as of late, evident in the entire Tudor collection. Quickly becoming one of the most popular traditional dive watches this Heritage Black Bay is indeed an impressive catch. This watch comes complete with original box and papers
